V I N E Y A R D

Plant Vineyard (プラントヴィンヤード) は、東北・宮城の有名な温泉街、仙台市 秋保渓谷の中心部にあるぶどう園です。

美しい山々に囲まれ、数万年前に流れた川の跡地にある2.4ヘクタールの土地は、自然に完成された水はけの良さ、火山岩の鉱物、そして豊かな土壌により、より甘く、より複雑なブドウを育てます。

代表でありワインメーカーの、Blaise Plant ( ブレイズ プラント) は、仙台在住バンド Monkey Majik (モンキーマジック) のメンバーとしても活躍中です。

彼が設計した、うね部分を残しまわりの土地を掘ってつくる「堀うね」という大胆なスタイルを利用し、砂漠のような水はけの良い環境をつくりました。それによりぶどうの木の根が必死に水源を求め、結果ぶどうの生育に良い影響をもたらします。伝統的かつ現代的な技術の両方を尊重し、生産者の手によって大切に管理しています。

ヴィンヤード（ブドウ園）は、ピノノワール、カベルネソーヴィニヨン、カベルネフラン、メルロー、シャルドネ、ピノグリ、そしてカナダの品種バコノワールを含む多くの品種で構成されています。

ヴィンヤードは今なお拡大しており、さらに1500本のブドウの木を植えて、今後数年でワイナリー施設の建設を予定しています。ブドウ畑そのものと同様に、ワインの各ボトルは、ワインメーカー自身が手作業で丁寧に作り、ラベルを貼り、全てのボトルに独自の特徴を持たせています。
これは芸術であり、芸術は無限、いつも私たちの周りに存在します。そして、それを実現するのは私達次第なのです。


Plant Vineyards sits in the heart of the renowned Akiu Valley in the North of Japan. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and built over the ruins of a river that flowed tens of thousands of years ago, this 2.4 Hectare piece of land promises a sweeter and more complex grape with its natural water drainage system, volcanic rock minerals, and rich soil. Using the “Hori Une” style of planting designed by winemaker Blaise Plant, a desert like environment is mimicked in order that the grapes influence the root of the vine to work harder and find a water source. All vines & grapes are cared for by the winemaker honouring both traditional and modern techniques.
 
The Vineyard consists of many varietals including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. In a continually expanding vineyard, we intend to plant another 1500 more vines and create a winery in the years to come. Much like the vineyard itself, each bottle of wine is carefully crafted and labeled by hand by the winemaker, giving every bottle it’s own unique character. This is an art, and art is infinite and all around us. It is up to us to bring it to life.
